KIRIDAS is a multipurpose café・gallery・resting space, opened in April 2017, next to the Totsukawa Furniture Studio. Formerly an old sawmill warehouse, the village renovated this place to be a bridge between the forest products and visitors. Come to rest at our café, we’ll serve you drinks and hot sandwiches in a relaxing environment!

The name "KIRIDAS (切り出す)" means to harvest trees from the mountain in Japanese. We bring “forestry” directly to the people through our building and furniture. This a way to thanks the mountain for what it provides us, a way to show respect to workers who shape the wood.
KIRIDAS does not only serve as a display for the furniture produced in Totsukawa, but is also a place where various workshops are held. We’ll put more information about the date and time of the coming events on the Kiridas Facebook page.
